Grant Workshops
As a partner with Michigan Arts & Culture Council, the Upper Peninsula Arts & Culture Alliance offers in-person grant workshops in local communities in the Upper Peninsula throughout the year. If you are new to grant writing, want feedback on an existing or past grant application, or just want to learn more about grant opportunities and best practices in the world of arts funding, attending one of our workshops is an excellent opportunity for professional development. Best of all, grant workshops are free to attend!

Get up-to-date on Candid (Guidestar)
Success with grant applications can be improved by providing easily accessible public information about your organization. MACC recommends keeping your Candid (Guidestar) profile up to date with demographic and financial information about your organization's leadership and mission.
The Candid Seal of Transparency is a free profile and process you can complete for your organization. Documents to have on hand to help get through the Candid process include the following:
- A copy of your organizations most recent Form 990
- A list of all board members and their demographic information
- A copy of your mission statement and/or strategic plan if available
- Your IRS determination letter, articles of incorporation, annual report, and/or other legal documents and licenses
